Last month, the BWSR Board adopted seven implementation policies related to the Buffer Law. To support the work being done by LGUs and landowners, BWSR has posted nine guidance documents on our website to support more consistent implementation of these policies around the state.  This guidance could not have been developed without the help and feedback of multiple LGU staff who have been engaged throughout the process, and I continue to be tremendously grateful for your assistance.

Not included in this update is our guidance for implementation of the Alternative Practices policy.  We are hard at work on this critical component, and anticipate to have it available in November.

As program development continues and implementation ramps up, we will continue to make every effort to provide needed guidance and information for our LGU partners.  Please let us know if you have additional guidance needs, and thanks again for all your work.
